The Return of Rich, Earthy Interiors
2026 Home Show

Seeing the Possibilities First-Hand
Attending the Auckland Home Show was a great experience and a chance to see New Zealand’s home-building and interiors industry in full swing.
Even better was seeing our surfaces being used in live demonstrations and incorporated into finished projects. At the 2026 Home Show, we saw firsthand how current surface trends are bringing warmth, depth and natural character into contemporary interiors.
This display kitchen by Master Craft was a standout example, combining our PanelLam Dark Walnut and Acrylic Olive Green in a considered design that demonstrates how effectively these two finishes can work together.

Kitchen islands
Walnut distinguishes the island from the rest of the kitchen. The illuminated arch highlights its grain and creates a clear contrast with the softer stone.
This curved architectural detail is made possible with PanelLam’s formable HPL, which allows it to be formed around radiused profiles for smooth, continuous curves.
Dark walnut woodgrains

Warm, luxurious and rich but not visually harsh. Walnut’s rich brown tone and distinctive grain bring warmth and character without overwhelming the space. It pairs well with earthy greens, warm neutrals and stone finishes.
Nature-led solid colours

Olive brings colour into a space without overwhelming it. Its muted, earthy undertones allow it to behave almost like a neutral, pairing naturally with walnut, warm stone, cream and dark hardware. As interiors move toward warmer, nature-led palettes, olive offers a contemporary alternative to white, grey and beige. Together, olive and walnut create a warm, grounded look with plenty of depth.
